a tribute to

Scotland's  Canadian Pioneers

In Celebration of Canada 150

Grateful for your loyal support in attending this recent performance.

See the photo gallery from the concert below.

With  strong spirits of hope, the Scottish pioneers came to the frontier of Ontario to build new lives for themselves and their families.
There is no doubt that the courage to become a pioneer came from the knowledge that there was a community of support here in the new world. Scotland sent farmers, teachers, ministers, professionals and labourers to support and sustain the new Canadian-Scottish community. The pioneers survived not merely by their  wits but from mutual support and dependence on each other.
The excerpts from letters and the traditional Scottish and Early Canadian music you will hear are the historical documents of their courageous spirit.
